Skinny Shops in DC

Shopaholic

With Fashion’s Night Out coming up on September 6th, I wanted to highlight a recent shopping event I attended at Tari DC.

Tari DC hosted a ‘Mystery Bag sale’ at the beginning of August. I was curious to check out the store as it was new to me but as it turned out, not so new to many other fashionistas in DC. The store featured a special sale section on the 2nd floor while the ‘mystery bags’ were up for grabs on the main floor. Up for grabs were also lovely blouses, dresses, shoes, jewelry and purses throughout the store, ranging from casual to black-tie formal. Brand names like Prada, Dior, DVF, Chanel and Carolina Herrera flashed before my eyes, but a healthy dose of Ann Taylor and Banana Republic could also be found in the mix. The mini-pies or ‘cuppies’ by The Pie Sisters  were delicious and the sugar high is what may have caused me to purchase not one but two(!) of the mystery bags. I didn’t get so lucky this time with my items but I hear the mystery bags might be back for Fashion’s Night Out on September 6th – so I might try again! Stop by the store also to check out what Snobswap and Love Not Label have to offer at the store on FNO night.

Bonus: More about Tari’s current sale over at Refinery29 and on Facebook

Per the georgetowndish.com, the purpose was ‘To showcase fashion as art and business, Cultural Couture created a visual narrative highlighting six distinctive D.C. neighborhoods along the N Street corridor, between 7th & 9th Streets, NW.
